It's May already?

Wow, the months have gone by way to quickly. So much has happened since I last blogged.

Frank will be retiring from the Air Force after 27 years. I have such bitter sweet feelings and emotions. Military life has been wonderful in so many way. Yes there have been ups and downs but I prefer to look at all the ups we've had throughout the years. The wonderful friends that will always be so dear to us that we've met. I can't say I have a favorite place in all the places we've lived. I have special memories of each place.

We will get to stay here in San Antonio which I do feel that we are very blessed for. Frank will still be working on Randolph AFB in the aviation field. He's excited about his new civilian career.
We're planning all the festivities for the retirement celebration which will be May 26th and May 27th. Our children will be here and friends and family. We're really looking forward to it.

Went to Utah for Women's Conference which was wonderful. My sister Lynette spoke on ~~Promptings of the Spirit~~ She did an amazing job. I love her dearly. Got to have my mom come in and sister Karen and niece Dana. My nephews wife Kendra was there. It was fun to see everyone again. Went to the ~~ Spoken Word~~ in the Tabernacle on Sunday morning and I loved taking that in. Thank you Kohl and Lyndsey for going with me. We had a great time. I wish I didn't live so far away from my family. I love hanging out with each of them. I'm looking forward to the Brown reunion. Haven't seen lots of the cousins in years. More to come about that.

Last day of February

WOW, where has February gone too? It's been a very cold month here in San Antonio. I'm looking forward to having Spring get here. It's been a rough couple of weeks but this too shall pass. We found out that Will and Megan will be having a little girl (I was right) and we can hardly wait to meet our little angel from heaven. They are going to name her Aubrey Michelle. I just LOVE her name. I'm planning to go see Will and Megan for Megan's Birthday the end of March.

Frank leaves today to go TDY to Denver for the week. My plans are to do some "Spring Cleaning" "Plant flowers" and have my friend "Sue" come to visit us for a few days. I'm really looking forward to seeing her since we haven't seen each other for a few years. We talk every day but it will be nice to have her here. I have so many wonderful friends that are near and dear to my heart. I have our Air Force life to thank for this.

Decisions, Decisions

So Frank and I have been trying to decide what we should do. Frank has been offered a position at McCord AFB in Tocoma, WA. After weighing the Pro and Cons...we have decided right now isn't the time for us to move. With our first grandbaby on it's way in July and Mandy is finishing up her Sophmore year of college we would not enjoy being so far away from all of them. So our decision is to stay here and see what happens. It's the "BEST" thing for us and our family right now. We feel very good about our decision!

Trip to Washington D.C.

My flight to Washington D.C. is still on but I don't think it's a good idea to go get caught up in that mess. They are suppose to get more snow on Tuesday and then my luck I won't be able to come back home on Thursday. My feeling is that I should just stay home with the doggies and have a nice productive week. We're suppose to get bad weather is as well. So much for the fun trip to D.C.

I'm going to be a BLOGGER...he he

I have so enjoyed reading blogs that some of you have that I thought I'd get my own. I'm soo not good at all of this computer stuff that I have to get help...."LAUGH OUT LOUD" But hopefully I'll get the hang of it and keep it updated.

Frank and I were suppose to go to Washington DC for a ROA Convention (Reserve Officer Association) this coming week. We were to leave today. We found out that a HUGE Snow Storm was heading that way and so Frank thought he would be pro-active and get there yesterday which he did. He is in the middle of all the snow and loving every minute of it. I will try and post a picture that he sent me. They cancelled my flight and re-booked it for Monday morning. We'll see if they cancel it again. I just may end up not going at all because they are suppose to get more snow on Tuesday and my luck....I'll get stuck there.

It's a beautiful day today which is wonderful because we've had such yucky weather for days now, and we're going to get more starting tomorrow so I'm soaking the sun in as much as I can.

So if I can figure this blogging thing out....I think I'm going to enjoy it :<)
